Six ingredients are listed for Tinizen. Three are amino acids and three are plant extracts. No amounts are published, so any claim about potency would be a guess.
The Amino Acids
GABA is a calming messenger the brain makes itself; L-Glutamine is common in protein foods; L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid involved in making compounds tied to mood and sleep. GABA and tryptophan can cause drowsiness, and tryptophan can be risky with antidepressants.
The Plant Extracts
Grape Extract supplies polyphenols; Green Tea Leaf Extract supplies catechins and sometimes caffeine; Panax Ginseng is a root herb. Concentrated tea extracts and ginseng both have cautions at NCCIH.
